Basic concepts of Presentation

A presentation program is a computer software package used to display information, normally in the form of a slide show. An editor that allows text to be inserted and formatted. Also method for inserting and manipulating graphic images also a slide-show system to display the content.

OBJECTIVE 10.1

Basic techniques to be aware of when creating a slide presentation:

• Use images, tables, and charts in appropriate way to add interest and clarity.
• Use effective slide titles. It should read like a headline so that the viewer 
   understands what the slide is about by its title.
• Use no more than 5–7 bullets per slide for text information.
• Use short sentences. Think in terms of point form, and not narrative
   sentences and paragraphs.
• Use a large font, 18–24 point.
• Use a serif font because it’s easier to read from a distance.
• Add an empty slide or a simple slide with a “Thank you” as a hints to the
   viewers that your presentation already come to end.
